The father saw another dream
Priyanka’s father Sanjay Surana is a real estate developer in Falna. His dream is to take his father’s business and take him further. For this purpose, he sent Priyanka to Mumbai for education. Priyanka completed her BSc course in 2019 at Juhu’s Botor World College. After this, he worked at Digital Marketing during the Internship in 2019-20. The Govid -19 infection proved a significant twist in his life. Priyanka also thought about the impact of this virus and the immunity of the people. After this, many questions arose in his mind about the quality of food and environment. After this, he believed that agriculture was a way of providing pure food and a healthy environment.
Came up with agricultural science advice
During the Govid -19, Priyanka decided to leave Mumbai and return to her village. He had made land for agriculture and then used the borewell and drip irrigation system. Also, Priyank used the cow dung. Gradually, he moved towards organic farming. In search of the right guidelines, he went to the Central Dry Regional Research Institute (Casri) Center in Jodhpur in Jodhpur. Here he is a farming scientist R.K. He met Solangi. His meeting with Solangi was the turning point of his life. Solangi advised them about the most need for proper potatoes and relatively simple practice for their cultivation to make chips. Research for 6 months
Inspired by her advice, Priyanka decided to research potato cultivation, better practices, potential challenges and information on her land. Priyank gave six months in this full research. In 2023, he launched a pilot project to install potatoes on three pixas. The crop prepared in three and a half months gave a large product. After this, the representative of the company that creates a chips bought potatoes for Rs.11 per kg. This initial victory prompted to increase its potato cultivation to 10 pigs in November 2024. After this, Priyanka sowed for crops in October-November for about three and a half months.
Income in crores
In 2024, Priyanka received about 80,000 kg of potatoes from the crop. He bought the potatoes at a rate of Rs.13 per kg by the US company. With this, Priyanka earned Rs 1,040,000 in three and a half months. After cutting about 40 percent, Priyank made a profit of Rs 600,000 to Rs 700,000 from this crop. He buys potato seeds from famous companies. Interestingly, their potatoes buying company has provided two machines for sowing seeds and harvesting potatoes. The company also raises the cost of transport for cold storage facilities in Gujarat and other cities. Many national and international chips are provided with potatoes. In addition, the company’s experts regularly visit Priyank’s farm to provide the necessary advice to maintain the high quality of potatoes.
