One of the most anticipated astronomical events of 2025 – the total eclipse will turn the moon into red – knowing all over Mexico tonight.

Dramatic river-phase event, in which the moon changes the color to the red to the red Middle Mexican time will start at around 9 pm, But it would be a slow -growing event. The peak of the entire eclipse does not occur up to about 12:26 AM and lasts for about an hour.

Here are the six phases to search:

Phase 1: The moon enters the Penumbra of the Earth and is the outer part of the shade and begins to fade, but the effect is very subtle.

Phase 2: The eclipse is visible at 10:30 pm when the moon enters the Earth’s Ambra (a dark central shade of our planet). At 11:10 pm, when the shadow moves from left to right, it would be as if someone had taken a bit of a bite from the side of the moon.

Phase 3: When the moon passes completely behind the earth, the entire eclipse moves from left to right to the top of the moon.

Phase 4: The Moon begins to emerge from Ambra, the inner shade of the earth, the red hue is diminished, and it seems like someone bites the other side of the moon.

Phase 5: The Moon begins to leave Penumbra at 2:45 am, which leaves a small shade on the moon.

Phase 6: Total lunar eclipse arrives at 4 am

Why the total eclipse appears to be red

When the Earth’s orbit is placed between the sun and the moon, there is a lunar eclipse, and the three celestial objects are almost lined in the right row. Reconstruction – called a CCG – the moon goes into the shadow of the earth.

According to NASA.

NASA explains, “When the moon is in the dark part of the earth’s shade, Ambra is called Ambra, which receives a dramatic red dye, which led to the nickname ‘blood moon’ for the lunar eclipse.”

Unlike the solar eclipse, the moon visits during the entire lunar eclipse, “Because the sun shines through the atmosphere of the Earth.”

The dim lights appear to be the moon orange or red, NASA says, Because “the air molecules from the earth’s atmosphere will scatter the most part of the blue light.” Because short wavelength colors – blues and violet – are easily scattered than colors with long wavelengths such as red and orange.

The rest of the light from the sun reflects with the red glow on the surface of the moon so that the moon appears red in the night sky. ”

In addition, the moon may appear red even the clouds or dust in the atmosphere.
