The company said on Thursday (10) that Alphabet’s Google is partnership with the largest energy operator in North America, PJM IntercORCTION, to implement artificial intelligence technologies to accelerate the connection of new energy sources.

Cooperation is the first technology application in managing inter -delivery lines. The demand for electricity increased with large technology companies building more data centers to train and implement Ia.

“The industry was talking about building more intelligent electrical networks for more than a decade, and now, with artificial intelligence, we have a real opportunity to convert the discussion into work,” Amanda Peterson Corio, who leads the energy centers in Google, to journalists.

In recent years, waiting time has increased to connect new sources of electricity – such as wind, solar energy and natural gas – with American electrical networks to historical levels.

Google, in partnership with Tapestry, a company supported by Alphabet, says it can help eliminate at least part of this waiting using IA to summarize the information and automate parts of the project analysis and the planning process that awaits connecting to the PJM network.

“Indeed, from the automation of many of the tasks currently being reviewed,” said Big Kahhan, General Manager of Tapestry, who will work with PJM to develop artificial intelligence tools and models that will be released in 2025.

PJM controls an electrical system that serves 67 million people in the United States, including North Virginia, the world’s largest data center.
