Union Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan inaugurated the Marathon meeting with the Deputy Director of Agricultural Research (ICAR) today. The meeting was held at the team room at the NASC complex in New Delhi, in which Union Minister Shivraj Singh took detailed guidelines on future strategies and information on research tests done by various sections of the ICAR.

New seed varieties reach farmers early
Union Minister Chauhan said that new kinds of seeds should be created, they are initially reaching the farmers and trying to make efforts. Chauhan said there was a need to emphasize the yield of wheat and rice, legumes, oilseeds and coarse grains. He emphasized the proper use of pesticides, and that there is a need for additional research and formal research on pesticides. Efforts must be made to make soil testing in their fields, and doing so will help you to raise interested farmers. Union Minister Shivraj Singh spoke about an attempt to organize a series from the farm to the market at the village level and underscore the role of agricultural groups.
The main role of KVK: Shivraj
KVK, who is facing problems with performance, said that the job should be eliminated quickly and reached the common farmers. Agricultural research came to the lower level with the full coordination, of course.
He said that KVK could provide demand -based services and a mechanism should be done. He also wanted to determine a set of natural farming in each KVK.
