One of the events that attracts most of the attention in the world is to achieve the entire rituals of the Catholic Church when choosing the next Pope, as soon as his predecessor dies. You can spend days (from Juan Pablo I to John Paul II, after more than 30 days), even decades (John Paul II’s papal took nearly 26 and a half years) until this happens; However, every electoral period in the “head” of the church always generates expectations and even “gatherings” about the character that will be chosen by the Cardinals under the age of 80.

The flavor that begins today is recorded in a very special moment in which humanity lives: it relates to historical times, because the world that will touch these elections is completely different from the one that I saw in 2013 when the Cardinal and Westle died or when Argentine Jorge Mario Berglavio died

We are facing a world that has many changes in the past decade, including a human -disruption of human life. The geopolitical changes that were those that turned more than others and that brought countless challenges that will have to respond to the new Pontificate, as happened in 1978 with John Paul II’s assumption.

We have come from a globalized world to go to a divided world today, where – for example – consumers in the United States can no longer get all products in their country and the trade war with China begins to wake up.

We have passed from a more united and more consistent society to polarization that led to a division not only socially, but a person. Today, the man and his scientist are brutally fragmented. For more than a decade, you can know, more than we were going to; Today, the Queen of Global Uncertainty in the entire humanity.

There is no doubt that Pope Francis touched a stage of great economic prosperity in the world. And that the material bonanza later means a serious problem of social inequality due to the concentration of wealth in a few hands. Consequently, one of the axes of its doctrine: the culture of disposal, in which the human being is literally “ignored” by the market if it is with compliance with certain patterns of economic and material performance, the product of economic liberalism at all.

Now the recession comes for the main economies. Hence the church’s work will be largely adopted: Solidarity, a word already known by Catholics since the time of John Paul II when, from Poland, headed by the leader of the Catholic Union – L -Lisa – to the last Nobel Peace Prize in 1983 and an institution that participates in solidarity, which is the first independent union in the Eastern Bloc, and then, the President of Poland in 1990.

Once again, the Church will face the challenge of making the current moment. The fact that demography will play a fundamental role: contracts of older people and fewer young people.

This will require, within a few years, to look at the population of old age and not only material interest in their needs, but the spiritual attention that is affected by the unity of the sunset with its consequences, in many cases, from anxiety and depression that necessarily leads to a desperate society; Consequently, the world of gradually lost faith.

Nothing is easy for upcoming governments and future generations. This size will be the challenge facing the new Pope and the entire church, secularists and hierarchical sequences, for the next world times.
