Urath that comes from Myanmar can have an impact
According to a report called ‘Business Line’, 5.5 lakh tonnes of eura production was recorded in Myanmar last season, while Igren India’s Rahul Chauhan said that this year, about 6.5 lakh tonnes of tonnes were produced. In such a situation, farmers/exporters prefer to export more. Most of the Urath crop grown in Myanmar reach the Indian market. In such a situation, Urat imports from Myanmar may increase further this year.
“The importation of new crop from Myanmar has already begun and has started to reach the Indian market,” Chauhan said. In 2024-25, India’s UERAD imports increased by 32 per cent to 8.23 lakh tonnes. In recent months, fertilizer prices from Myanmar have seen a lot of ups and downs.
Urath prices fell 25 percent
At the same time, a section associated with pulses believes that Urath production in Myanmar is estimated at 9-10 lakh tonnes. According to the report, the demand for Urath has been weakened since November last year, while imports from Myanmar have increased and the high rainfall has been reduced by 25 per cent due to heavy rains. At the same time, production was reduced by about 20 per cent compared to 16.04 lakh tonnes last year, while rabbi production is expected to be 5.17 lakh tonnes higher than other advance estimates.

At the same time, Krishnamurthy, who is associated with the business of pulses, said that in states like Gujarat and Maharashtra, the arrival of the fertilizer crop of the Saeed season will begin in a few weeks.
