Farmers’ demonstrations in Supna before the arrival of CM Saini, need for water supply for irrigation

Farmers protested on Wednesday before Chief Minister Nib Singh Saini visited Jindle Supana Kalan on April 20. Farmers have sought water from the Chief Minister’s irrigation. In Jindle, farmers from 20 villages protested with their demands on Wednesday. Farmers have been seeking water for irrigation for years. Farmers allege that many governments have arrived, but their demand has not yet been met.

Farmers complain that many leaders have promised to provide irrigation water, but no work can be done on the ground. Even Dushyant Sa UT Tala, who was the deputy chief minister in the last government, promised to solve the issue. He was an MLA from this constituency in 2019.

Need to oppose farmers

During the struggle, United Kisan Mastur Morcha presented a note to the local BJP MLA Devendra Chatarbooj Adri. The head of the organization, Azad Singh Palwa, said, “We are demanding the release of water from the canal that passes through the village. Farmers are in crisis and our demands must be paid immediate attention.”

MLA confirmed confidence

MLA Devendra Adri promised to make their demands to the farmers. He said he was the son of the farmer, so he understands his problems well. Adri said the problem of a small canal that comes out of the main canal through Dagal village has already raised the issue.
