Apart from traditional agriculture, a farmer from Bihar gets a bumper by creating an advanced creation in modern ways. Today, these farmers have become an inspiration to the surrounding donors.
In fact, Arjun Paswan, a farmer of Karkatpur village in Rohdas district of Bihar, cultivates mushrooms in a small place. Nowadays, Arjun has become a million. He has trained dozens of farmers to cultivate mushrooms. Many farmers make strong profits from Arjun’s mushroom cultivation.
There is no benefit in traditional agriculture
According to farmer Arjun Paswan, he has previously done traditional farming. Used to produce paddy and wheat crops. There is no advantage of this. He also had limited resources. Not much land. Despite this, he decided to cultivate mushrooms from traditional agriculture. Arjun says he initially cultivated oyster mushrooms. Today, he cultivates button mushrooms.
Oyster mushroom cultivation
Arjun says the oyster mushroom crop is ready in a month. Grow it in a room. Cultivation of oyster mushrooms is very easy and low cost. He says it can be cultivated with paddy straw, wheat straw, peanut, mustard, sunflower and soybean skins.
Cut the hay and filled with a PP bag and placed in a cool and wet place. It should be remembered that the room for applying oyster mushrooms should have a place to get the appropriate air. Arjun says that the cost of oyster mushrooms is low, while it is ready in the short term. The total cost of cultivating 1 kg of oyster mushrooms is Rs 15 to 20, while the price of the market ranges from Rs 150 to 200 rupees. Considering this, the production of oyster mushrooms is a good way for farmers.
Button mushroom cultivation
Arjun says that growing button mushrooms is a little more time and hard work than oyster mushrooms. Arjun says that the cold weather is considered better for growing button mushrooms. Sow it from October to March.
It takes 1 month to prepare fertilizer. After this, it takes 10 days after the seeds are added. Mushroom seeds should be planted by setting up a 6-8-inch thickness layer in a strict place in the room. After this, it is completely covered with fertilizer. This mushroom is ready in 50 to 60 days.
The production of mushrooms in hundreds of pockets
Farmer Arjun Paswan says that he currently produces mushrooms in hundreds of bags. The need for their crop is sold from the field.
The price of 1kg button mushrooms is 25 to 30 rupees, but the price of a kilo of mushrooms in the market receives 70 to 80 rupees. He has been subsidized up to 50 per cent from the government to cultivate mushrooms. Arjun advises other agricultural brothers to cultivate mushrooms. He says that any farmer can make a lot of profit by stopping it.
