Banana producing farmers in the district have suffered a huge loss.
Huge losses in onions, mango and other gardens
In the city and surrounding areas of Ambajokai, two -wheeler drivers were trapped on the road due to seasonal rain and hail, as sudden rainfall was accumulated in the lower parts of the city. Last evening, the villages of Ashti Tehsil’s Carkel, Toyithan, Belgaon and Chinchla were affected by seasonal rain and hail. In the afternoon, heavy winds have caused great damage to onions, mangoes and other gardens.
Ashti Taluk, including Karkal Pudruk, received two hours of seasonal rain. Heavy rains were rained during the rains, resulting in damage to the rural areas. Due to two hours of rain, some rivers came in large numbers, causing damage to vegetables and fruit gardens.
Banana Gardens were destroyed in Nandade
At the same time, at five o’clock in Nandett, suddenly the effect of strong winds and glory was seen. Due to a storm in Babanagar in the district, the tree was caught and fell on a car and stopped in front of the bike house. The incident took place around 5.30 pm. However, there were no casualties, but the car and other vehicles were badly damaged. Apart from this, the electrical poles also collapsed from the storm. The Mahavitharan sector also suffered a huge loss due to thunderstorms in many areas. Meanwhile, employees of the municipal corporation’s fire department reached the spot at the end of the night and removed the trees.
The crop should ripen in 15 days
In Nanded, storm winds have caused great damage to banana crop in many villages. The trees in the banana garden fell. In Loha Tehsil, banana trees were laid on the ground and gardens were laid on the ground in many villages including Patsangvi, Kapileshwar, Mohpur, Sangvi, Gangapet, Dakan and Pimplgan.
Farmers said the banana was cooked for fourteen to sixteen months, but the crop to cut in fifteen days is now destroyed by the storm. This caused a huge loss to the farmers who produce banana. Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena MLA Anand Founder from Nand’s south examined the damage in the constituency today. He said he would meet both the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Ministers to provide immediate assistance to the farmers.
