The central government has approved the supply of 28 lakh tonnes of extra rice under the ethanol project by 2024-25, which has increased the total allocation for 2024-25, starting in November 2024. However, the cost of ethanol rice is 22.50 kg. The Indian Food Corporation (FCI) has already provided 24 lakh tonnes of rice distilled, but ethanol has so far increased 1 million tonnes of rice.
Ethanol production of rice approved
According to the Business Tax report, the Food Ministry has said in a note released last week that FCI has approved the allocation of Ethanol for Ethanol production. At the same time, they are expected to earn about Rs 14,300 crore by selling ethanol to oil companies.
The federal government set such a goal this year
