In a country that targets the most egalitarian and modern society, we cannot continue to establish social practices and expectations that can be fully entrusted with the responsibility of parents in the early years of a child’s life. There is also a naturally rooted culture that is normalized today, the mother initially quits out of work, missing daytime maintenance, to make medical appointments or attend school feasts. When the father is accepting this role, they are often appreciated as “help”, in fact, it must be recognized only: a parent in equal functions and responsibilities.

Parental balance is achieved only when the rights and duties between the parents are mandatory. It is in this context that I argue that a compulsory, equality and irrevocable parent license, in which the father and mother enjoy at least six months each, can be extended to a year by reducing the loss of income without maturity loss. This action should be considered a concession, but as a structural right and as a tool of social justice and human development.
Many scientific studies have shown that the presence of parents in the first year of the child has a positive impact on their emotional, cognition and related development.
On the other hand, when the license is also optional, the current practice is proportional to women and strengthens labor and social imbalances. The woman often interrupts her life, loses performance, accumulates physical and emotional depression and ensures her professional progress. The man loses the opportunity to have a deep connection with his child in the early months of the child’s life.
Transforming the parents ‘license between the father and the mother is equally balanced between professional and family life, which will relieve the proportion of women’s parents’ responsibility and allow men to be full. In addition, it will benefit children directly, and from the beginning, they will grow in the context of the statistics of careful and caregivers.
The argument of cost should not be overlapping with social and human value. Improving gender equality, long -term benefits such as child well -being and family synchronization compensate for investment, which is considered a Christmas action.
If we want to create a balanced society against inequality, we need to start with the parents’ site. This change begins with the structure of the parents’ license.
