Spreading the spirit of the teachings of Christ, especially in the disadvantaged environments: this is one of the central tasks of Jesus’ sisters in the Eucharist. It is a very wide area that constantly challenges us to learn about the signs of the times and sometimes we also look at the areas of new responsibility. This has been the case of Germany since 2015.

While the fear of alienation grew in many places, the sisters of Jesus in the Eucharist decided to use their attractiveness among the refugees. The many defects faced by refugees are clear: an uncertain future, fear, rejection, excessive demands, work weight, poor education, separation, shocks, language, poor cultural understanding, and clear sense …
Each point, in itself, will be sufficient to hesitate to healthy self -confidence. Some people drown in a state of despair, especially when it is deprived of the right to survive and the decision to deport them to a country linked to imminent death.
These people go to the Sandra Wall. “There are many places to ask simple questions. But it’s really difficult, then I send people to you!” He once told him a mother who was appointed to be deported and finally managed to stay. “When no one can help you, you need God. He is with you!” A Muslim refugee said he was very afraid of his family.
Everyone expects to get out of a dead end. The expected path is not always. However, although the situation cannot be changed, those who ask for advice leave the room are encouraged and fill in gratitude. They know that their situation has heard and is now in the hands of God.
Sandra Wall is “Hajj Al -Amal”. In these situations, you seek to go to some extent the path of fear, enhance and shed light on those who seek advice, change their point of view and help them behave through a deeper understanding of their position. This requires openness to other cultures and different ways of thinking, strong legal knowledge and a good understanding of official responsibilities. Then, with a lot of sensitivity, it is possible to mediate between the world of refugees, German public reality and bureaucratic requirements. The Holy Spirit is sometimes the best translator!
This is an international agreement that relies on the example of the blessed Monsignor George Matolitis, the founder of Jesus’ sisters in the Eucharist: His initiatives in Eastern Europe destroyed by the war in the early twentieth century were always directed to all those in need, regardless of their origin. He was always concerned about the unity of peoples in their diversity and estimated all the languages and traditions of his diocese. In this way, he contributed greatly to the beginning of peace and reconciliation methods.
With his contribution to helping the refugees, Sandra Wall hopes to weaken the land of reproduction of violence and hatred: whoever finds understanding does not fall into hatred. Whoever tests good is ready to do good. Whoever sees that the future can live. The path of forgiveness and reconciliation is important, and this aspect also occurs several times in advice meetings.
There is a great desire to close God. In Germany, it seems far away, as a refugee said: “Because the Germans never talk about it.” This is why it is important that God becomes tangible in Jesus Christ, even in the people who receive him daily in the Eucharist. Thus, advice meetings with Sor Sandra always end the question about the origin of hope we have just received.
She admitted the representations of the seven works drawn by mercy in the office, who is a Muslim lover, worried about their safety, “This is jihad: the holy war that God wishes. Give thirst to thirst, visit the patient, and burial of the dead …” The Sandra Wall did not look at these images from this perspective. Before the advice meeting, you were a little tense about what can be expected, if the state has reservations about this person is very grateful and reliable. Later, I was very happy with the gift of confidence and the ability to approach and listen to the other without fear, rather than building the walls. This is the way in which peace is entered.
This commitment to the sisters of Jesus in the Eucharist is a contribution to the church’s mission to go to the margins of society and spread the light of faith.
The center is located in the Caritas Association in the city and Hof province and is funded by the Ministry of Interior in Bavaria and Caritas itself. Because of the austerity measures of the government, advice centers of this type are at risk in all sectors of the German social welfare system. This opens the door to excessive number of people in emergency situations and the consequent social discomfort.
The future is in the hands of God and we can participate in his work. While the sisters of Jesus Slav in the Eucharist, his hand leads us to the place of his sacrifice and causes the fracture to find a new unit. This is the living sacred offering, which begins to celebrate the liturgy of the Eucharist and permeates our entire life, regardless of where we work.
