According to him, the confirmation comes after the signing of a new five -year agreement between the Organization for Juveniles and the City Hall, through Invest.rio, the city’s investment promotion agency.

Eduardo Paes participated in the opening ceremony of the 2025 edition of the web summit that took place in Riocentro, in Barra Da Tijuca, the western region of the city. Being one of the most important technological events in the world and gathering participants from different countries, Paes chose a letter in English.
The web summit started this Sunday (27) and will continue until next Wednesday (30).
Over the four days, more than 34,000 people and more than a thousand emerging companies are expected, they will provide solutions for investors and trading partners to obtain new opportunities.

Large technology companies will be present, with representatives of Microsoft, Nvidia, Openai and Tiktok.

The opening of the web summit also represents the launch of the “Rio Ai City” project, which aims to transform the city into the largest database center in Latin America and one of the top ten years in the world.
The project expects a scheme for the Olympic Garden area to build the campus of artificial intelligence, with a preliminary capacity of 1.8 GB by 2027 and expanding to 3 GB by 2032, which was fully provided by clean energy and unlimited water supply.
“Here in Rio, we are not only observers. We want to strengthen the revolution of artificial intelligence and make sure it works well for the public,” said Bayz.
