According to experts, DDGS has a good choice based on protein and energy, and the price is cheaper than empty, so it is costly.
DDGs grow with ethanol production
The government continues to increase the production of ethanol, and it has also increased the tendency to produce ethanol with grain. In such a situation, the production of DDGS is increasing with this, which is becoming a challenge to the soybean empty business. According to the ‘Business Line’ report, Divya Kumar Kulati said that the DDGS could not be able to change soybean empty. Due to malnutrition -related causes, it cannot be completely changed.
Although its use has increased, it can only affect only 10 to 15 percent of the business of soybean cake. However, this, too, is a great factor in the quality of DDGs. Gulati added that India’s poultry industry is growing at 8 to 10 per cent annually, but the production of soybean cake has not increased. Therefore, there is no threat to the soybean empty industry from the present DDGS.

At the same time, the Soybean Processors Association (SOPA) issued a report from October 2024-25 to six months from October 2024-25, which reduced the raising of soybean cake to the animal fodder, which fell more than 7 percent.
