The jury at CBF began, on Monday night (14), the referees’ focus in the first division of the Brazilian Championship.
The meeting, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, brings together about 75 professionals, including field rulers, assistants and video rulers, in a pilot project aimed at preparing the land for future professionals for arbitration in the country.
The activity period continues until next Thursday (17), with the distribution of training in three transformations and focusing on the practical, technical and theoretical aspects of the job. According to Rodrigo Sentra, General Coordinator of the Committee, the proposal seeks to simulate the vocational government routine in continuous activity.
“We will have three transformations of the activity, with the practical, technical and theoretical part. It is also a pilot work for the attack that we intend to do in a maximum of 18 months,” explained Sirmra, during the lecture opening the focus.
Tuesday (15) activities will be divided between the Air Force Club (CAER), the Brazilian Arbitration Center (CEAB) and the hotel where it is concentrated.
In the morning, Caer will receive practical exercises with the participation of the basic teams in Rio de Janeiro and the VAR structure. CEAB will be a specific simulation scene for video rulers.
According to Cintra, half of the work burden in the week proposed by the jury CBF It will be intended for alignment between field rulers and wars.
He said: “About 50 % of this week’s work focuses on making VAR rulers harmonious with field rulers until they understand that they are not interventions, but video assistants, who are about to help the ruling in obtaining the best decision in this field.”
Anxiety about the melody and responsibility of the video rulers was also highlighted by Alíccio Pena Junior, the general coordinator of CEAB.
“We want the most correct decisions in the stadium, and in the event of evidence of a possible invitation, the referee has peace of mind to go to the cabin, analyze the situation again and decide whether the original decision will be preserved or changed. We want to search for a settlement between the unlike VAR, but we do not want to delete it.”
In the afternoon, the focus will be on theoretical activities, this time with all the rulers collected in one session. The proposal, according to Pena Junior, is a change in the strategy compared to previous years.
“In the events years ago, the group has been divided. Now the entire group will receive the same theoretical instructions. At night, we will have another direct activity with the committee that deals with the philosophy of arbitration, which is the idea of the Brazilian Championship Games Committee.”
The focus was scheduled before the fourth round of Series a. Ultimately, the referees scheduled for matches will make the necessary flights to the game cities and then return to the capital of Rio de Janeiro to continue programming.
