According to the Indian Journal of Industrial and Environmental Medicine, a study conducted in 2010, 90 percent of the brain’s brain tumors have been subjected to pesticides in Kashmir’s plantation belt. The European Union (EU) has banned it due to cancer components. According to the European Union, the environment is increasing due to this pesticide.
After the ban, its use in Kashmir continues uncontrollably. According to an estimate, 3,400 metric tonnes of this pesticide is sprayed every year. Besides, 4,350 metric tonnes and 3,186 metric tons of chlorpose are also sprayed.
