Do you really think peace is in danger?
We hope that there are no real risks. We do not happen and we urge all officials to contribute specifically to avoid this. We know that peace is a very sensitive plant that should be cultivated carefully and dedicated.
Can the international community also play an important role in this game?
Not only important, and perhaps even crucial. Because peace is an essential value for the human existence that should worry everyone.
On this front, the church is on the line of confrontation and does not have any unique effort.
What is the current situation of the church?
Our church is increasingly aware that it should be a certificate of hope. In fact: the testimony of Jesus, which is our hope. The Church, in the historical sense, consists of men and women of our time, without which the church is simply found. Therefore, the current situation of the Church cannot be different from the situation in all its members today.
It is exactly the entire ecclesiastical community is the call to face hope in many challenges that seem today really difficult, almost uninterrupted.
In addition to the confirmation of peace, one of the most important challenges is population migration and the consequent decline in the Catholic presence throughout the country. The phenomenon of migrants affects all ethnic and religious societies, which suffer greatly, but the most affected is the Catholic community, which was gradually decreasing for more than thirty years.
At the last general assembly, the bishops expressed their desire to celebrate more religious and ecumenical meetings. Why is ecumenical and dialogue more and more an indispensable factor not only for the church, but for the entire nation?
During his Apostolic visit to Sarajevo, Pope Francis said: “In this land, peace and harmony between Croats, Serbs and Bosnians, and the friendly and fraternal relations between Muslims, Jews and Christians are of importance to what is beyond their borders.”
Then he added: “The dialogue is a school for humanity and the unit worker.”
