Maharashtra is number one in this regard. Recently, the 11th review meeting on the progress of registering geographical indicators (Geological Signs – GI), Dr. A. Singh gave this information. He said Bihar should become the first state of the country.
Product to leave Maharashtra
Research Director Dr. A. Singh said Bihar exceeded 1,000 with registered 1,247 GI users. This achievement has been confirmed based on science recognition, regional verification and legal qualification. Now the next target is to reach 2,000 users so that Bihar can become the country’s number 1 state in this region. He said the number of registered users is a success of science and group work. At the same time, the next aim of university scientists is to establish products at national and international levels through biochemical specification, molecular analysis and price chain coordination.

Got G Tag for many products
So far, the 17 GI of Bihar Tag -based production groups have been formally registered, which will play an important role in quality control, joint marketing and scientific branding at the coming time. At the same time, GI applications for 13 products have been sent to Chennai, while the final review of the application for 5 new products is underway. All of this has been observed as features such as global source, historical evidence, economic impact and scientific tests.

On the identification of new potential products, Dr. A. Singh advised scientists to act on products with local individuality, genetic identity and economic possibilities.
