The Basmati Seed Distribution Exhibition and Kisan seminar at the Basmati Export Development Institute, the Government of India, opened on Monday. Along with this, the seeds of Basmati seeds were distributed to the farmers who reached here. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Tiwari, Director of the Indian Agricultural Organization Research Institute and Deputy Director of Agriculture Dr. Nilesh Sa UR Rasia and Joint Director Dr. Ritesh Sharma.
Farmers gathered from 12 pm at night
After the start of the project, the seeds were distributed to the farmers on behalf of the guests. He surprised that at 12:00 pm, the farmers were waiting for the seeds to come and take the seeds. Farmers from different states of the country came here to get seeds. At 6:00 am, more than 200 farmers (BEDF) reached the seeds. Farmers got training
Dr. Ritesh Sharma said that Basmati Export Development Companies continue to offer high quality seeds to farmers and continue training for exported basmati production. Seeds worth Rs 70 lakh were sold
On Monday, about 1000 farmers from seven states came to get seeds. These farmers were given about 700 quintal seeds. Because of this, seeds worth around Rs 70 lakh are available to the farmers. At the same time, farmers also advised to produce more seeds. With this, all farmers can get a large number of seeds according to their needs. At the event, scientist Dr. Pramod Kumar Domar and Netrapal Sharma, along with some other scientists, trained the farmers.
