The exports of many agricultural commodities from India have increased. It contains horticultural crops such as spices, coffee, tobacco and tea. Exports of these crops reached $ 9.16 billion in 2024-25, which was 17 percent higher than $ 8 billion in the previous year. About 16 per cent of the total agricultural exports of India are plantation crops. The country’s total agricultural exports were $ 50 billion in 2023-24.

According to the latest Commerce Ministry data, exports increased by 4.7 per cent to $ 4.45 billion by $ 4.25 billion in 2025. Tea exports increased by 10.8 per cent to $ 0.92 billion, which was $ 0.83 billion last year.

Similarly, tobacco exports were 36.6 percent strong, which increased from $ 1.45 billion to $ 1.98 billion. Coffee exports rose 40.3 per cent to $ 1.81 billion to $ 1.29 billion.

Tobacco exports, which were $ 0.88 billion from $ 0.98 billion to $ 0.98 billion, crossed $ 1 billion for the first time in 2022-23, an industrial expert said. In 2025, it reached about $ 2 billion.
