The Memorandum of Understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) has been signed between the Bihar government and the International Food Policy Research (IFPRI) to increase the income of the state farmers and to perform better tasks in the field of Agricultural Research. At the same time, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Secretary to the Department of Agriculture, said that for the benefit of this Memorandum of Understanding, this partnership would provide the benefit of expertise in the global research and policy preparation of the International Institute. Furthermore, the strategy and implementation of projects in agriculture and related sectors will be supported. Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha met IFPRI officials. At the same time, the authorities provided detailed information on the proposed agreement to the Agriculture Minister.

Livelihood and agriculture will improve

The Secretary of Agriculture, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, said that the Bihar rural economy has made significant progress by investing in agriculture, livestock, milk, fisheries and food and nutrition. The purpose of this agreement is to improve rural livelihood, strengthen policy planning and increase the effectiveness of government programs in agricultural sectors. He added that the deal would be useful for five years, under which the analysis will be consulted with research, technical counseling, skill development and consultation with shareholders. This partnership will promote cooperation with Bihar’s research institutions and promote the exchange of knowledge of corporate strength.

The main points of the Memorandum of Understanding will work

  • In the next five years of the agreement between the Bihar government and the IFPRI, the work must be done in key areas

  • The diagnostic analysis of the preparation of projects is outlined in accordance with the state’s agricultural-stabbing and socio-economic diversity.
  • Sources based on support and re -evaluation for projects such as agricultural road map and climate friendly agriculture.
  • Identifying strategies for high -value areas such as horticulture, livestock farming, poultry and fisheries.
  • Government sectors and companies use data systems and modeling equipment for the promotion of skills and long -term policy development.
