The mural, with various groups of characters, was covered in daily and recreational scenes, in 1979 with the approval of the Institute for the Preservation of the monument, because “this student work did not attribute any artistic value.”

He also mentioned the “Republic’s Journey” in 1961 by the artist who was born in Dardi in this context, in the extinct German Democracy Republic (RDA).

As I mentioned, the museum has already tried to discover the work for the first time in 1994, but Reichter did not agree. From 2022, ideas began to think about how to make the historical dimension visible and experienced. Thus, the idea of ​​revealing a central part of the work was born, which obtained the approval of the famous artist. Painter 93 -currently live in Cologne, in West Germany.

Parallel to a special exhibition on the history of RDA in the museum, the work was launched from several layers of drawing and restored in recent months as part of a general restoration.

The partial revelation project for the mastage had a cost of 220 thousand euros (about 241 thousand dollars), by the German Cleaning Museum Foundation and the Wüstenrot Foundation in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Dardi.

Martin Horns, Secretary -General of the Ernest von Siemens Art Foundation, said, who supported the project. Partial revelation provides new knowledge about the artistic development of Jeradord Richter and amazingly highlighting the story of the use of a building museum.
