The Brazilian Intelligence Agency (ABIN) must disclose a statement to request the dismissal of Louise Fernando Korea, General Manager of the Agency.
The message will be signed by the Intelis Intelligence Union (Intelis), which has already published other demonstrations of dissatisfaction with the current administration.
Corrêa will witness this Thursday (17), at 15 hours, at the Federal Police headquarters (PF), in Brazilia (DF). The session will coincide with the number 2 of the Alessandro Moretti agency.
In the document, you will demand Intelis that there is no defense for ABIN’s work. Since the beginning of the government of Luiz Inácio LULA DA Silva (PT), colleagues have criticized the choice of a PF representative for this position, at the expense of a professional official.
At the beginning of the investigations, PF has already indicated that the current administration tried to prevent the investigation of the Jair Bolsonaro government spy plan.
Doubts resulted in the resignation of Moreti, but with the support of the Minister of Civil House, Roy Costa (PT), a member on which he remains Abyan, who remains in his position.
Also on Wednesday (16), Intelis issued a statement criticizing data leaks from ABIN Server to PF.
“Given the seriousness of the facts, Intelis informs that it is in acting with the Federal Public Prosecution service to be strict and independent of the leaks and the proper expansion in the scope of investigation for the legal efficiency of the federal police.”
Testimonies
The trigger for investigators to choose Moretti and Korea certificates was the revelation that Brazil was an attack on Paraguay for information about the ITAIPU.
Corrêa and MORTTI will also have to clarify suspicions that during the Lula administration, the agency’s current administration has attempted to disrupt the ABIN’s parallel investigations since 2023.
