A message from the state government in Hidalgo 1225/12/25

During a recent press conference, the Secretary of Economic Development in the state of Hidalgo, Carlos Henkel Eskorza, detailed numbers and results categorically denied the content of the publication on April 7, 2025.

According to the National Council for Social Development Evaluation, an independent body responsible for measuring poverty in Mexico, HIDALGO recorded a sustainable decrease in poverty levels, from 50.8 % in 2020 to 41 % in the last measurement, which represents a decrease of 9.8 points. This progress was possible thanks to the well -known economic development strategy since the beginning of this administration, which has strengthened Hidalgo as a competitive and attractive destination for investment. So far, an investment attraction has been achieved for more than 100 billion peso, generating jobs and growth. To put it in its correct perspective, the investment of 60 billion peso has been reached for a period of six billion of the bizo. Today, in the middle of this six -year period, this number has already exceeded more than 66 percent.

Companies such as Mercado Libre, Jac Motors, Carnot Laboratories and WeG have chosen, among many others, Hidalgo as the headquarters of its operations, thanks to the legal certainty, infrastructure and human capital of the entity.

In IMSS numbers, at the end of 2024, 11,519 official jobs were created, exceeding four times the national average. In January 2025, Hidalgo was placed as a country with the highest generation of official workers in the country, with 283 thousand 913 insured workers in IMSS, an unprecedented figure on the history of our state.

According to the state’s competitiveness index, Hidalgo is the fourth country with the highest real growth of GDP in the past three years.

Likewise, labor poverty also decreased: 4.2 percentage points in 2024, improving family income and reaching Hidalgo to the basic basket. In the field of social policy, 11,000 million peso were invested in public works, and by 2025, four billion will be implemented. In only 2024, 1,282 workers were carried out in 84 municipalities. In terms of the well, the budget for social programs increased by almost 200 %, from 169 million peso in 2022 to three thousand 385 million peso in 2025.

Currently, one in three Hidalgo receives direct support from the state government, without the mediators, and the current current social program, gives priority to people with high marginalization indicators, social delay, extremist poverty or indigenous population, based on the declaration of priority care areas 2025.

Hidalgo is not Cartels Land, it’s a land of transformation. The criminal organizations that operate in the past during the past two years have been dismantled. Security and the rule of law are undeniable priorities.

Hidalgo today is no longer among countries with greater poverty, and most importantly: they are going in the right direction.
