I did not expect many surprises as I visited the Northern Region of Mexico’s Baja California in my entire life before I traveled to the Ennsenada region in 2017. However, if I did the wrong and if I knew these things, I would have done this action very soon.
- Property costs are lower than you think
You can hope that living on a beach on a beach is always out of your financial range for real estate markets in any state. But look at a short hop beyond the border of similar coastal settlements, which is no longer a 7-form transaction. That border will save you millions of dollars.
Of course, Baja laments how many foreign timers have increased coastal rental and real estate prices. Nevertheless, both of them are a part of what it costs in a similar spectacular place. As rental has risen, there are more contracts if you know how and when to see.
Another factor in favor of you is the general tendency of the Baja landlords not to raise rent as it does in states. Your home expenses will become a better contract in time, as they can be stable. For example, nearby friends have continuously signed their annual lease at the coastal rent for the ninth consecutive year. The rent has never risen during that period.

The fact of security in Baja
My foreign friends and I were surprised to see that we were more safe in Baja than we do in the United States. As for security in the Northern Baja, like Mexico, there is an enormous gap between public opinion and reality.
There are many border cities, including the vast city of Dijuana in this region, and the criminal figures here appear more than the rest of Mexico. The main difference is that most of the crimes in North Baja California are not directed towards tourists or foreigners, but are associated with organized criminal and drug cartel operations. Violence crimes are concentrated in specific neighborhood associated with illegal activities, usually far from most passengers and foreigners visiting.
In fact, North Baja California is usually safe as many popular places around the world, including many American cities. But you have to believe in those pesky figures, including those belonging to the US government.
It is not that crime will never spread outside these neighbors; This can be done from time to time, just like the United States. But that is not the norm.
Statistics come to Baja California every year, the vast majority of the incident, and that they are certainly security concerns, underlined that they are not universal. Avoiding regular precautions-especially after darkness, not showing valuable materials, and sticking to well-transmitted areas-will significantly reduce the chance of facing the problems. Awareness and common sense precautions go a long way to ensure safety in Baja or anywhere else.

Preferences
North Baja offers many different experiences, and everyone has something. Of course, it is known for incredible beaches, but there are many more, including desert life, mountains (yes, even in winter they get snow), small towns and villages, big cities, world -class wine plants and vineyard gardens and distant environmental tourist attractions. All of these choices are four hours or less for the border.
-
Life grade
Living in the Northern Baja is not only a reduction in costs, but also an increase in quality of life. From point 3, so much geographical diversity refers to endless entertainment opportunities. You can find local and foreigners’ growing mixed communities that support all kinds of textile activities, including outer waters and natural attractions, outdoor markets, arts, music and food festivals, charity reasons for volunteering in the social arena, all kinds of social clubs, and more. If you choose, you can easily fill your social calendar every day of the week. If you get bored in Baja, it’s your own wrong.
Foreigners will also find a strong antique sentiment of society, and these days seem to be north of the border. People take care of each other and help each other in big and small ways. I love the small village to the south of Ennsenada, where I live in my Mexican Maberry. Throughout the North Baja, there are such communities in large cities.

How easy it is to relocate
If I knew how easy it was to move to Baja, I would have done many years ago.
The proximity of the North Baja to the United States simplifies many logistics and costs, otherwise threatened and complicated. Would you like to have your US bank accounts, telephone service, mail address or health service? There is no problem.
Unlike other Mexican states, you can maintain your US vehicle registration even if you are a legal permanent resident! In addition, your US vehicle does not require temporary import permits (tips).
After all, you can easily drive to the bhaja. This will only significantly reduce the costs associated with international activity. If you ever decide that Baja is not for you, you can simply tie your goods, turn the border and restart your old life. However, you won’t like it!
