Twenty years have passed since the death of the Pope and Wajitia. His education continues to inspire our time, vibrating tensions, violence and wars. We present some reflections about his personality to his successor, Benedict Sixteen and Francisco, and the ideas of the Polish Pope about scenarios and topics that remain present, such as the Middle East, Ukraine, peace and disarmament

Amero Lomonaco – Vatican City

This holy year of hope, 20 years of death of John Paul II were fulfilled. The spiritual era opens the words that refer to the “last call” from the Lord: “They wake up, because they do not know which day their Lord will come (Mt 24, 42) ». “I don’t know when the Pope Wagita wrote – but, like everything else, this moment was put in the hands of my teacher’s mother: All you do».

On that day, as for everyone, he also arrived at the 1920 -born man in Wadowice, Poland, and he was promoted to the throne of Pedro on October 16, 1978. The Pope and Wajitia died on April 2, 2005 at 9:37 pm. To bid farewell to the latter and a funeral, three million pilgrims went to Rome, united with a cry: “sacred”. This approval of guilt was found that the conclusion expected on April 27, 2014, on Sunday from divine mercy and the day of the sanctification of John XXIII and Juan Pablo II.

Open the doors to Christ!

The Pope and Wajitia died 20 years ago. However, its messenger, who is still from heaven, is still a source of love for humanity, has not been extinguished. If you managed to appear again from the Apostolic Palace, and perhaps in Angelus after Mariana’s prayer, she urged Christians to open, moreover, to open from the border and the doors of their hearts to Jesus. His words appear to be clear on October 22, 1978 due to the sermon of Pontva’s beginning with him with absolute consensus, especially in our time. In this jubilee, it is an invitation to cross the threshold of the Holy door, to open the doors.

Do not be afraid to welcome Christ

Brothers and sisters! Do not be afraid to welcome Christ and accept their strength! Help the Pope and all who want to serve Christ, the authority of Christ, the service of men and all humanity! Don’t be afraid! Open, open the doors to Christ! The borders of countries, economic and political systems, and vast areas of culture, civilization, and development are open to their savings authority. Do not be afraid. Christ teaches “what is within man.” He just knows!

The Holy Land needs reconciliation

These days they are deeply wounded in different areas of the Earth. The Middle East is still destroyed by terror and drama. The speech addressed on February 12, 2004 by Pope John Paul II to the then Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Ahmed Qary, opens with a reflection that also challenges the entire human family today: “The sad situation in the Holy Land is a reason to suffer for all.”

Sorry, not revenge, bridges, not walls

No one should surrender to the temptation of frustration, much less than hatred or revenge. What the Holy Land needs is reconciliation: forgiveness, not revenge, bridges, not walls. This requires that all leaders in the region continue, with the help of the international community, the path of dialogue and negotiations that lead to permanent peace.

Ukraine’s desire

Another land destroyed by war in the eastern part of Europe. The desire expressed by Pope John Paul II during his Apostolic trip to Ukraine draws a peaceful path that unites East and West and “different but supplementary values.”

Ukraine can fit, in itself, in Europe

My desire is that Ukraine can fit, in itself, in Europe that covers the entire continent, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Urals. As he said at the end of 1989, it is very important in the modern history of the continent, there can be no “peaceful and experimental for civilization without this osmosis and this participation in various but supplementary values”, which is typical for the peoples of East and West (The teachings of John Paul IITwelfth/2, 1989, p. 1591).

Commitment to peace and disarmament

Be craftsmen and the guardian of peace. ” In Pontificate of John Paul II, this guidance recorded many speeches, meetings, calls, reflections. Moments of history have crossed tensions and conflicts. Words that also object this time when Readma plans in Europe continue to prepare in more details. During his visit to “Memorial De La Paz” in Hiroshima, on February 25, 1981, the Pope Wogitia addressed the heads of state and government in the German language, then, in Russian, youth:

Let’s adhere to peace in justice; Let us now make the official decision that the war will never be tolerated or consider a way to solve differences; We promise our male colleagues that we will work tirelessly to disarm and cancel all nuclear weapons; Let’s replace violence and hatred for confidence and anxiety.

Tell the world’s youth: We believe in a new future of brotherhood and solidarity; Let us approach more than our needy brothers and sisters, let’s get to the hungry, let’s move to the surface, and we will release us, and we take justice where the sound of weapons is only heard. Their small hearts have an extraordinary ability to good and love: put them in the service of their peers.

A rock in faith

Even on fragility, John Paul II showed an extraordinary power. Power comes from faith. On April 2, 2006, on the first anniversary of the death of Pope Westa, that moment was revived with Marian Al -Waqf. The next day, Pope Benedict XVI presided over the Mass in Plaza de San Pedro, and in his sermon, he called “priestly character in his entire life.”

Iman without fears or obligations

Well, the late Pope, whom God gave him with many human and spiritual talents, appeared through the crucible of the melting of graphics and disease, more and more “rock” in faith.

Those who had the opportunity to be close to him can touch their faith Frank and their company, and that, if the admiration of the circle of their collaborators, did not stop expanding their useful influence throughout the church during a long period of that, in a newspaper that reached its climax in recent months and the days of its life.

Faith is convinced, strong and real, free from fears and obligations, which affected the heart of many people, thanks to many Apostolic Hajj all over the world, especially thanks to that “last journey” that were their suffering and death.

Pope Family

There are days registered in the history of the church. On April 27, 2014, Pope Francis presided over the Holy Liturgy from John’s twenty -third and John Paul II. On that occasion, their ancestors remember, urging them to live “the basics of the Bible, that is, love, mercy, in simplicity and brotherhood.”

Cooperation with the Holy Spirit

John Xxiii and John Paul II collaborated with the Holy Spirit to restore and modernize the Church according to the original examination study, which is the science of saints over the centuries. Let us not forget that the saints are exactly the ones who send to the church forward and make him grow …

In this service to the people of God, St. John Paul II was the Pope of the family. He once said that he would like to remember that he was the Pope for the family.

Only Christ has the words of eternal life

The Pope is looking for the family from heaven to the entire human family. From here, from the earth, it seems that we listen to his words again during the Pontificate Bloc: “Today, a person does not know what he wears within himself, at the bottom of his soul, from his heart. Often, it is not sure of the meaning of his life on this earth. Doubt that despair shakes. ”

“Let them, then, pray, ask them with humility and confidence – allowing Christ to speak to man. He just has the words of life, yes, from eternal life. ” San Juan Pablo II is a messenger between heaven and earth. Even today, many hearts open to the Bible and the words of eternal life because their certificates heat them.
