In the speech, Francisco calls “his memory in prayer” and “for those who have lost their lives” and “for those who experience such a hard source, as a heavenly comfort.”

The Macedonian government has promised to make more efforts to determine the causes of the tragedy. “Today is the hardest and very sad day for Macedonia,” wrote Prime Minister Hiristirigen Mikoski. “The loss of many young lives is impossible to adjust and the pain of families, relatives and friends is impossible.” European companies’ condolences have been received, while the Serbian government has announced national sorrow in memory of the victims on March 18.
