There are cities on the coast, and then the Punda Perula – the quiet, unwavering length of the Pacific beach, which feels that it is in a parallel universe, where the time is reduced, the Margaritas flow, everyone knows. There are no big resorts, no nightclubs, no tourist meetings. A tight community that welcomes visitors like just golden sand, shiny bay and long -lasting friends. If you ask me, Punda Perula is the dream.

But this dream was destroyed from the map in 2015, and one of the strongest storms so far, Patricia went to the hurricane shore and left the city in ruins. Instead of giving up, residents – Mexican locals and foreign foreigners – were restricted together, rebuilding houses, businesses and community. Today, Punda Perula is stronger than ever, a proof of the backlash of the fragment of this hidden heaven, depression and unstable love.

A dusty small beach city with great heart

Punda Perula is not the place to declare himself. If you don’t seek it, you will lose it completely. The city’s main drag is a dusty, sunlight road that runs about 10 or 12 blocks, and a few small side streets are like nerves. Sidewalk roads? You will not find many. In the glowing pits? There is no chance. Instead, you will get beautiful peach friends restaurants, a couple of oxyzos and mom and pop markets where you can store new products and cold servezas. For something more substantial, you have to travel to a great city.

But what is not in the urban facilities for Punda Perula, this is more than the character. Here, community is not just a password – this is a lifestyle. Fried pork nights in Monica, locals and audiences have something that combines people with a row before sunset or a weekly Mars music night at the community center. It is a kind of place, neighbors look at each other, where the rapid grocery run becomes a 30 -minute chat, and the friendships on Tacos and Tequila are created.

The love and support within this community is very clear on the city’s Facebook group, where residents share everything from lost pets to local events. It is a place where everyone is really known in the name, which strengthens the deep bonds that can feel like the home of the Punta Perula, even if you are here for a week or for a lifetime.

The beach that walks forever

Then, of course, there is the beach – the reason people stumble first on the Punda Perula, the reason they never want to leave. The coastal curves in a wide curve are stretched for miles, long, thoughtful walks with soft golden sand, or suitable for early morning jacks. Unlike other Pacific beaches, the surf here is usually delicate for swimming, which is a place for families.

On weekdays, the beach is wonderful and often feels like your own heaven. But come on weekends and holidays, it becomes a lively scene, families set up umbrellas, sloping music from small speakers, and children go out and outside the waves. This is the right balance – enough to remind you that life is going on, but you never feel too much.

Where to eat (why it’s delicious)

For such a small city, Punta has the best places to eat. Pirate My journey for new seafood and cold drinks? On the beach, it is a kind of place where you can dig your toes in the sand while storing some of the best garlic prawns you have ever kept.

Coffee jazz A beautiful vibration, good burgers and one of the city’s only places, where you can find a wine list. It is the right place to meet a friend, bring a book, or sit and listen to music.

Then there is a food truck in the square-owned-Etter-to-day-to-day exaggerated burritos, enceilladas, kascadillas and tacos to discharge.

Dedicated to security

Beyond its stunning beaches and hot community, Punta is also Red Carry Jalisco-Nayarid Volunteers work tirelessly to protect the tortoise center and dangerous sea turtles. Depending on the season, visitors can participate in publishing baby turtles into the sea – this is an humble experience that underlines the deep respect of the city’s nature. This is another reason to love this significant small space.

No hurry, no fuss, no problem

The glamor of Punda Perula is in its simplicity. This is the biggest end of the day, whether to keep another beer or switch to Margarita, where plans are more loose recommendations than strict trips, and people stop chat instead of rushing from one place to another.

There are no five star resorts or luxury spas, no large grocery stores or designer stores. But it is its magic. Punda Perula is not trying to be anything other than that – sunset is spectacular, people are tender, and life at a slow, stable speed.

So if you are looking for buffets and infinity ponds that include all, you may want to see anywhere else. But if you want to find a place where life is simple, the community is important, and if you want to find a dolphin in the bay of the day, come to Punda Perula. You will never want to leave.
