Candidates approved by Argentine President Javier Millie are the first place in the electoral race for the legislative elections for the city of Buenos Aires.

With more than 99 % of the polls, the Miley list for candidates, led by his spokesman Manuel Adurni, appeared first on Sunday (18) to the local legislature, with 30.1 % Of the voices, according to the official results.

“Today is a turning point for freedom ideas,” said Miley, celebrating the result on the stage alongside his office members.

Leandro Santoro, who was favorite in most research, appeared an ally of the Peronic movement of former President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, in second place, with 27.4 % of the votes.

Third, by 15.9 %, the list was led by Silvia Lospetato, the Pro Party candidate, former Milei ally now opposed by the right -wing leadership.

On Sunday elections, which renewed half of the 60th seat of the Legislative Council of the Argentine capital, was seen as the first important electoral test for Millia, who took over the presidency at the end of 2023.

“It was not just a local election,” Adurni said on the stage. “It was elections between two models … the model of the political class, the distinctive model, and the model of freedom. Today, freedom has won – again.”

The Miley administration has sought to present the local elections as a referendum on the economic results of its national government, and highlights the fall of inflation and the first budget surplus for Argentina in 14 years, according to Mariel Furone, political analyst at Management & Fit Consultance.

“This is the main origin of the government.”

The result in Buenos Aires is an important step and an indicator related to the national legislative elections in October.
