The Uttar Pradesh government has made a second change in “Milk Development and Milk Production Promotion Policy -2012” to further strengthen the dairy industry. The purpose of this policy is to promote milk -related businesses in the state, get new investment, and benefit farmers and entrepreneurs, and consumers have good quality dairy products. The policy, which began in 2022, was specially developed for the development of milk -related industries. Under this, a variety of exemption and subsidies are provided from the government for projects such as dairy plant, dairy processing and animal food production factory.
The government has now made a second major change in this policy, which favors the Uttar Pradesh Food Processing Industry Policy -2013. This means that those who are now investing in the milk industry will have benefits, like other food processing sectors.
Which projects benefit?
In setting up a milk plant/factory
- Offers up to 35 percent of the total cost
- Up to a maximum of Rs 5 crore
The Division of Animal Forage and Nutrition Product
- 35 per cent of the cost, up to a maximum of Rs 5 crore
The modernization of the old milk plant
- 35 per cent of the cost, up to Rs.2.5 crore
Tracebitality and quality control equipment
- 35 per cent of the cost, up to a maximum of Rs 1 crore
Cooling system
- 35%cost, up to a maximum of Rs 1 crore
Micro Unit (Small Level Units)
- 50 % of the machine cost, up to a maximum of Rs. 50 lakh
Women get special benefit
If a female entrepreneur set up a 75 KVA power project of solar energy, she will be subsidized up to 90 percent. In such projects, male entrepreneurs will be subsidized up to 50%.
Come first
Subsidies and deductions will be provided according to the old rules for the projects already submitted in the online portal. That is, if you have already applied for this project, you will be given more discounts from the government.
