I was shocked by how dramatically shifted to the block from the scenery block on the latest metropus ride -up Avenue. I felt like I was going through a series of unique cities, each with its own character.

In many ways, I: the vast nature of the city of Mexico, creating a mosaic, and the longest Avenue of capital (and the longest one of the world) reduces many of them. 28.8 kilometers (18 miles), the most important north-south sidewalk of the city and the backbone of the city. Its story is very interesting.

Ancient origin and historical development

The Avenida insurgents have discovered its roots for the Mexica (Aztec) era, as it once passed the Texko Lake and the sinuses of Sogimilko. After draining the Spanish Texoco Lake to prevent floodingThe original rural areas were the most modern corridors. The main segments of the colonial networks, the Comino Newo, the first San Cosm (Santa Maria La Rebera), Varakruz Avenue (Rome) and Via Tell Sentineario (San Angel), were eventually swallowed by today’s insurgents.

We know that this was concluded in 1953, named after the rebel, a rebel who fought for the freedom of the Mexican beginning in 1810.

President Miguel Aleman played a key role in designing Mexico’s longest urban road. His administration invested more in public works – completed the university city (UNAM). He also concluded the first significant mass housing project in the country’s capital, Alamin.

Beyond the construction of the building, Aleman modernized the country’s highway system and appointed new roads and bridges to support the fast -growing population. Under his administration, the Mexico city airport was upgraded and further enhanced the international connection.

Another wave of urbanization came at the 1968 Olympics: the Metro was built, massive theaters rose, and the city’s main infrastructure was a mask. This includes the rebels, the southern length of the Avenue, and expanded, to combine new sports places like the University Olympic Stadium.

For visual impact, public art sculptures were added to the rebels at this time. A few remains to date, in which Channels (signals) Angela Gurria and Willy Goodman’s “El Ankla” (anchor).

There are also insurgents in the city’s first metropus tax, which opened in 2005. Its high passenger demand and strategic metropus selected for hundreds of regular buses with efficient bus rapid transport (PRT) vehicles, now serves 250,000 Travelers every day.

Modern cultural and urban importance

Avenita de Los insurgents are a symbol of the development, modernization and cultural energy of the city of Mexico. Its name recalls the struggle for independence, and its development reflects the change in the city of the country as one of the largest modern cities in the world. Avenue saw major historical events, urban planning milestones and millions of residents walking, cycling and riding their next place.

Unfortunately, like any great Avenue, the rebels face its challenges. Severe traffic congestion is a problem, chronic traffic congestion and slow travel speed, especially in an emergency. Despite public transport improvements, congestion has only increased in recent years, causing city developers to improve the infrastructure of rebels. In addition, many of its metropus stations and sidewalks show signs of critical wear and tears.

There are signs of progress, and in September 2024, a major rehabilitation program revived the roundabout of the Glorious de rebels, one of the city’s thrilling transport centers. Workers added new LED lights, expanded the green space, removed the graphite and built the tourist police station.

Further updates are planned, including the construction of a residential building of 237-Unit Skydown insurgents near the Basio de la reform, although the city is preparing for the FIFA World Cup when the city is ready for the FIFA World Cup.
