Yuva Bag Singh, a resident of Sarka village of the Kohr sub -division of the Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh, has chosen the path of agriculture from the technology industry and cultivated flowers (fluorulcher). After graduation, Pak Singh worked for a while in the field of technology, but soon he realized that he was interested in agriculture.
But troubles in traditional farms such as uncertainty income and weather success. In such a situation, Pak Singh began to explore stable agricultural options. During this time, he received guidance from the Horticulture Department.
Started cultivation with training
After training at the Balampur Agricultural University, Bakh Singh began to cultivate flowers under 2020 under “Horticulture Integration Mission (Mid)” and “Himachal Pushp Granthi Yojana”. He started with Carnation Flowers, which was a good need and profit in Delhi’s Mandis. This success prompted to expand his farming.
Today, Pak Singh is growing more than 1,700 square meters of land, such as Carnation, Spray Carnation, Stoma and Gypsofila. He produced irrigation, gardening and support infrastructure at a cost of about Rs 20 lakh. At this cost, he received a subsidy of Rs 15–16 lakh from the government’s plans.
Earn lakhs of rupees every month
According to the Tribune report, Pak Singh earns an annually of Rs 10–12 lakh, ie about lakhs per month. The government’s plans are not only helping financial aid, but also helping the inspiration of the novelty, so young people can follow agriculture as a modern and beneficial industry.
Himachal Pushp Granthi Yojana and Mid are now gaining popularity in the Kohr constituency. So far, 66 farmers have accepted polyhouse -based flowers. Since 2022, about Rs 60 lakh has been subsidized. Under these plans, 85%of the polyhouse, 80%of drip irrigation and 25%of transportation costs. Also, the crops are protected from the wrong animals by solar fencing.
