There is an idea of organic farming for potato cultivation

Due to the poor economic condition, he used to cultivate potatoes in 50 kg of tobacco (dust) fertilizer for the Katha field. The chemical system produces only one quintal more potatoes than farmers. After this, he decided to do organic farming. Since 2020, about 2 acres of organic system have begun to cultivate vegetables and make the entire land free since 2023.
Low cost in organic farming, higher profit
Initially, the production of organic agriculture was very low, but when his land became completely organized in four years, the production began to be equal to chemical agriculture, says Pirchander Singh Khushwaha. Chemical agriculture spends at least 3 thousand rupees per katha, which costs less than 1200 rupees for organic agriculture. However, they say that production is very low in the first three-four years. At this time, farmers need a lot of government help.
The government should focus on the market with organic farming
Khushwaha says that the government promotes organic agriculture, but there is no concrete plan to get its products better. People do not know the difference between chemistry and organic crops. Identifying organic vegetables is only possible by testing. When more prices are asked, people prefer to buy chemical vegetables instead of organic. For this purpose, the government must determine a place at the constituency and the constituency, where organic vegetable farmers can sell their crops.
Vegetables are sold in district government offices
Arti Devi, a progressive female farmer, said that production has increased for the past two years, but it has not received the best market with it. Her husband says that they sell organic vegetables to the Vaishali District Agricultural Office, the Hajipur Sub -Office, the big shopkeepers and the rich. It earns 6 to 7 lakh rupees annually. But now the production is very high and its consumption in these offices is unlikely.
