A number of sugar production has been released by the National Cooperative Sugar Factory (NCCF). According to NFCSF, till April 30, the crush is underway for 2024-25 seasons in 19 sugar mills across the country. A total of 2758.57 lakh tonnes (LMT) sugarcane has been crushed, resulting in 256.95 lakh tonnes of sugar. Compared to 23 sugar mills in the same period last season, and crushing reached 3115.12 lakh tonnes of sugarcane and produced 314.65 lakh tonnes of sugar.
