Each layer has a pile equal to each other, and the next layer has a pile across the first layer. Also, there is a pile equal to the previous layer. Rice straw beds are in two to four layers.

Farmers can earn millions

85 to 90 percent moisture is essential to grow these mushrooms. Apart from paddy straw, these mushrooms can be grown in cotton waste or other cellian organic waste. According to an article on the African Journal online, these mushrooms are harvested 2 to 3 times daily for the next three days. Farmers can earn up to Rs 50 lakh per acre from Volvarila mushroom cultivation.
