This is about the story of two friends and what happened when our women’s journey happened. While traveling in Mexico, I wanted to share this to show that if something goes wrong, you should not hesitate to go to a hospital.
Because they care about the patient. There is better medical care from all health professionals there: From nurses and doctors to administrative staff.
Because all the girls’ trips do not end in champagne and kickels. Not ours.
Here’s what happened.
Slope
A dear friend and I went to Tulum two weeks ago for a small journey. There is nothing we have done before. For many years, we had many small adventures. Her type 1 has never been a problem with diabetes – up to this time.
We were two days of fun and went to explore Gan gan biopic existence. The boat zooms in the rides. A Mayan canal surrounded by orchids floats from the canal. Enjoying wonderful ice cream (our travel tradition) – you know, regular women travel things.
Then, in the morning we came home and she fell to the street.

After sitting for a while, I decided that it was time to get help. I was five minutes late. She suddenly shattered on the curb. My worst fear was walking in front of my eyes. You guessed it: diabetic coma we are coming here.
Wild Taxi Ride
Poor taxi driver. He saw that he was trying to hold my friend. He came out to help me and asked if she was drunk. This is TulumAfter all, I hope he saw it after people had a dinner party at 8:30 am.
But when I told him that she was a diabetic patient, he responded quickly. We got her climbed on her taxi DullumFive minutes away. Hand in the horn, he took us there quickly, the poor man looked at me in the rearview mirror, and asks if she was breathing when I tilted her head back to ensure a clear airway.
As well as. Because if we were waiting for an ambulance, the doctor said he would have been in the entire diabetes coma. Not just slipping. She wouldn’t have come out again.
Quick and respondable er
He reappeared with the nurses and wheelchairs a moment. They were fantastic. To respond quickly, professional, talented and very concerned. I was attracted.
They have already been efficiently on my friend with a rapid obstacle of symptoms and time. I was afraid of what came next: contacting her husband. I don’t want to get out of him, it’s hard and I know. So I was very grateful for their quick response. She was already coming at the time I call.
It made it very easy to talk to her husband. More than the call, “It’s okay, she is redeemed”, rather than the call, “You have to come to Tulum now”. After all, he would not have been an easy or quick thing to do. We all live in Kosumal, so there would be boats and buses.
But my friend was already synonymous again, talking to the doctor, so there was no need. The best treatment of doctors and staff came back with us and chat within half an hour.

Damn, what a relief!
I came to an English -speaking doctor just a few minutes after I went to ER, who learned only Spanish, so it was a relief. I mean, stumble in Spanish, I am afraid that I will tell you the wrong thing, is not that I wanted to go.
Another thing that attracted me was that they allowed me to stay. I don’t get out of ER because I have no immediate family or wife. At one point, I may have told me to stay, but Shh, it may be our little secret. I hope you understand.
Best maintenance for a part of the price
After communicating with medical staff and taking care of the administrative documents, time flew. We felt like we were there for an hour, but it was four more. By that time, my dear friend came back, laughed at my joke (someone to do) and invited her husband to renew him. Before you knew it, she returned to normal.
What best care. In four and a half hour, all the tests were done, re -verified and reviewed, and my friend was right, and ready to get out. You cannot hear more concern, safe environment or the best care of the best. We were both very grateful.
The only shock bill we had: only US $ 500 for emergency treatment. That includes it ExpertsBlood work and a full medical team did not leave his side. It is a very affordable ER visit.
I thank you very much for such excellent medical care and concerned health professionals. A great thanks to everyone in Costless Tulum!
