Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has set a major goal to bring silk production to a new height. Under this scheme, the annual action plan of the fiscal year 2025-26 is set to be aimed at connecting 7,500 members of the group with silk production through the state rural livelihood. This effort is a great step to realize the creation of rural employment and the dream of India.

50 thousand women will be added in the next five years

To increase silk production, the government has launched a strategy to ensure serious operations in 15 districts this fiscal year. These districts will provide training, modern technology and financial assistance, so silk farmers and manufacturers can be competitive to the world market. This attempt by the Yogi government is an attempt to connect the traditional industry with new technology and innovations, which will strengthen the rural economy.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has already been signed between the state rural livelihood and silk sector to increase the participation of women in silk production. Under this agreement, over the next five years, over 5000 female groups are set to be aimed at connecting 50,000 members to the product and industry.

Priority for rural women in silk production

Yogi has given priority to strengthening the plan of rural youth and women. Groups associated with silk production will be provided with seed, equipment and marketing assistance, which will increase their income. The action will also help improve silk production under the ODOP (a district, a product) program, which will provide a new identity to the traditional craftsmen of the state.

28 times an increase in silk exports over the past 8 years

The annual silk production in the state has reached 400 metric and consumption of 3,500 metric. The most silk requirement is in the Varanasi constituency of the Prime Minister, which is included under the Chief Minister’s ODOP scheme. “Mukyamandri Risham Vikas Yojana” has launched this year’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to keep the state in silk production. Silk exports have increased 28 times in the last 8 years. The project will be helpful to bring silk production to the new height.

The biggest character of ‘Ration Risham Sakis’

According to information received from the Silk Department, 1050 female groups have been linked to silk production. In each constituency, ‘Ration Sakis’ and Black Mission Managers are trained. Technical training will be provided to provide performance in silk production, yarn production, fabric weave and the sale of finished products, thus making women financial self. This step in the government will not only create employment but also promotes environmental friendship. The aim of the Yogi government is to double exports over the next five years, which will provide a new speed to the state economy.
