S. General Price Index (IGP-10) It decreased in April, where a decrease of 0.22 %, after applying by 0.04 % in March, and as a result, it was withdrawn by the decline in the prices of strong commodities, according to the data issued by the Getúlio Vargas (FGV) on Tuesday (15).
Analysts who have been consulted by Reuters expected a 0.27 % decrease in the monthly base. In 12 months, IGP-10 increased 8.71 %.
The Grand Production Index (IPA), which measures wholesale variacies and represents 60 % of the total index, was 0.47 % in April, after decreasing by 0.26 % in the previous month.
“Among the IPA elements containing the highest contributions to the fall of IGP-10, there are goods such as coffee, proteins and mineral minerals,” said Matheus Dias, FGV IBRE.
The elements that contributed more to the IPA result were iron ore (-2.12 % to -3.79 %), grain coffee (5.96 % to -2.71 %), and rice in Shell (-4.51 % to -12.14 %).
The decrease in IPA came following the decline in prices in the total raw material group, which had a 1.0 % contraction in April, albeit higher than a 1.36 % decrease from the previous month.
Already Consumer Prices Index (IPC), which represents 30 % of the total index, slowdown, recorded 0.42 % per month, after 1.03 % advanced in March.
In IPC, there was a decrease in six of the eight categories that constitute the indicator: housing (2.77 % to 0.31 %), transportation (1.03 % to 0.39 %), food (1.31 % to 1.06 %), various expenses (0.84 % to 0.20 %), clothes (0.24 % to 0.02 %) and communication (0.40 % to 0.29 %).
The housing electricity and rice rate was the most prominent elements of the IPC slow, as it decreased by 0.74 % and 1.90 %, respectively, in April, compared to 11.31 % and a decrease of 1.28 % in the previous month.
The National Building Cost Index (Incc-10) accelerated, in turn, slightly, increasing by 0.45 % in April, after making 0.43 % in March.
IGP-10 is the price of product and consumer and construction between the previous 11 month and 10 of the reference month.
