The Institute of Higher Information and Management Science (ISCIA) presents the awards for the highlight and novelty of national authorities in old age, which aims to distinguish the Portuguese municipalities to public policies and innovative programs focusing on the enrollment of active elderly and senior people.

Considering the growing age of the Portuguese population, the project arises to recognize local qualifications, promote good practices, and promote the development of prolonged, include and useful strategies in territories.
There are two types of awards in the program:
The limit of the municipal specialties based on the assessment form, which includes features such as budget planning, senior participation, human resources and intermediate projects.
Municipal Innovation Awards, which require innovative projects submitted by the municipalities, are subject to the assessment of an independent expert authority.
Applications are held from April 11 to May 9, 2025, and can be submitted through the official website: iscia.edu.pt/galardoes-autarquias.

The ISCIA, which has over 35 years in polytechnic higher education, has been strongly racing in the area of social science and education, with special training in psychiatric, social education and related areas.
