The Scholas Pontification Foundation is celebrating its first association and confirms the continuity of managers Jose Maria del Coral and Enrique Palrio, because it seeks to promote the mission of Pope Francis to create a culture of meeting through education.

The SCOOS Scholas Special Society, whose roots belong to the Bishop of Boys Aires, Jorge Mario Bergio, held its first association on Thursday 20 March 2025.

The entity was born as a project in Buenos Aires to collect students from public and private schools, without discrimination between religion, to work for the public good.

The organization, which has become the Babylonian Foundation in 2013, is now with about 450,000 schools and educational institutions all over the world. In 2022, Scholas participated in the G20 summit in Bali, where he presented its educational model to world leaders.

In a statement, the Foundation, in which the Scholas members confirmed the leadership of Jose Maria del Coral and Inrique Palmerio as its managers, as a “milestone” in the institutionalization of the movement.

The vote in favor of its continuity in the leadership adds during the session, and he re -committed the commitment of the current managers to the task that the Holy Father entrusted to enhance the culture of the meeting through education.

Even during the Journey of the Holy Pope to Asia and Oceania in September 2024, the Indonesian students received it in the youth of the Gra Pemoda Beit in Yakarta, where he visited the first community of Scholas in Southeast Asia.
